[December 5th's child]

The Story

The mirror showed my reflection; my eyes flickered with excitement and impatience of a teenager. I took a last glance at my own reflection before walking out of the restroom. I walked over to the table, where my guests are seated. They were busy chatting with one another before i caught their attention. A few pair of their eyes followed my every move, until i settled down on my assigned seat. Then, the next few minutes felt..weird.

A cake. Laid in front of me. Two lit big candles. Each representing 10 years of age. A long-winded HBD song filled my ears. I look around. A band stood not far from my right. Oh, the song came from them. Too bad though. No ponchos. No Mexicano Dance. =S Then, the song stopped. A waitress came up to me. With a beaming face and pearl-white smile, she squealed out three words I expected to hear:

"Happy 20th Birthday!!!!"

I feel embarrassed, hoping no one heard that. I smile a norm one back, grateful to her greeting. "Thank you."
Then I hear my guests calling me. "Make a wish, Nisa.""Blow the candles, Nisa. Blow it."
And i did.

The HBD song resumed but i ignored them. Sorry, i was listening to my iPod.
I turned toward my guests, all seated not far from me. Their faces with joy and glee, each eager for the cake. I blow the candles out and thought to myself:

'@#$%@#$%!!!!!! I was 16 yesterday and now I'm 20?? Amaze me, O Time, AMAZE me mann!!!'

Hesitantly, I sliced the cake with unnecessary force. I was then officially a year older, oh wait, 4 YEARS OLDER. =.=)"

My aunt nx door bought me a cake!! Wheee!!! XD
The cake was yummy, Thanks MUCH! (was supposed to pick it up from the Pizza Hut chiller at ard 10pm, but oops..!)
haha funny thing was, there were only two candles, the big ones that represent 10 years old. I was a bit taken aback by the thought of becoming 20 AFTER being just 16..rofl. My expression must've looked funny coz i could feel my eyeballs almost popping out and my cheek muscles did something it never did XD

I LOVE you all who remembered my birthday and greeted me!! XD Lol. I was so shocked that my txtmsg ringtone dint stop!! Partly becoz it was 8/8 bars HI volume and partly becoz I just woke up.
My parents, Yee, Jane, Ah Jie, Faiz and Kael, LOVE you guys MOST!! XD
Oh but The First Person to wish me HBD was my mom, early midnight. Lol Thankiez MOM!!! My dad was fast asleep thought, I took over his work. ^^
Kael's gonna buy a plesen for me from Kuching!! OMG, Kael, is it a kucing?? XD

The presents I received are SO WONDERFULZ!!!! Lol. No, REALLY, I mean it!!!
Yuin bought me a Blue Teddy-Bank!! Which i wanted SO much!! The color and the type!!! Eeeee~!!!! Then, Yee bought me a wallet!! THE EXACT TYPE I WANTED!!! Eeek!!! XD And then Janey bought me a novel!! OMG it's amazing, coz I need NOVELS to improve my vocab!! 8D
